Things that seem weird to me now include the fact that the comic is almost at 100 pages, and that I had Palma's pupils hidden for so many of those pages. It's really strange looking back, because now I feel like this is how Palma is "supposed" to look.

This one was nearly late thanks to issues with my internet provider, but Obfuscobble is a wizard and everything worked out fine. In other news: Disgaea 4. I can't stop playing it somebody help me

Wow, Palma has eyes! Lol!
Still, glad to see it up.
Amaare 17th Sep 2011, 6:06 PM edit delete reply
PS, isn't it wierd how a metal mustache can still convey anger?
Bonz0 17th Sep 2011, 6:40 PM edit delete reply
I think it's got more to do with his metal eyebrows...
Amaare 17th Sep 2011, 6:55 PM edit delete reply
Plus that little crack in his crown like a throbbing vein...
Bonz0 17th Sep 2011, 10:34 PM edit delete reply
Ooohhh, hadn't notice that!

I have a feeling that Guy's coming into the fray.(Don't quote me on that...)
Steel 17th Sep 2011, 6:13 PM edit delete reply
Ok this guy... I like. Classy, understated, well spoken, actually has a point (if not a really good one in my eyes) and is a FREAKING BEAST! This comic has some of the best baddies.
Altimos 17th Sep 2011, 6:13 PM edit delete reply
NEVER throw King Bob-omb off the mountain, NEVER.
Evdog 17th Sep 2011, 11:43 PM edit delete reply
Second that! Never! It's unfashionable...
Whistle-Tall 17th Sep 2011, 6:28 PM edit delete reply
Something tells me that the King of Bob-ombs doesn't have a "blast core". Or he could be like the partner bob-ombs are in Paper mario 1/2. Besides, he's way too gentlemanly to blow up that easily. The big guy IS fairly ticked though. Where's an inconspicuous, powder-rittled, key-propelled spherical self-contained detonation charge when you need it?
Mr. Vareel 17th Sep 2011, 6:59 PM edit delete reply
Mr. Vareel
They tossed Bob-ombs at him earlier and they didn't seem to have much effect. Λt least it didn't look like it to me.
Whistle-Tall 17th Sep 2011, 9:19 PM edit delete reply
Yeah, they weren't of any more effectivity than any other projectile back in that scene. However, I think a bob-omb to the face would be effective at blasting him away from the rope, at the very least.

Mr. Vareel
Λh, I think you may be right.

is there anyway to get the first panel without the text? oh the things i could do with it

I'm ashamed to say that I though KBB was dead after the last page...
Bee 17th Sep 2011, 10:30 PM edit delete reply
There's so much discussion about how Palma's top stays in place, but I'm more interested in her antigravity boobs. Mine would be in my face if I hung upside-down like that, and I'm not nearly as well-endowed as she is.

I don't think KBB is angry, that "Hmph" seems more like "That was better, but you're still not a challenge yet".
Ranter 18th Sep 2011, 1:02 PM edit delete reply
She and I are about the same size as far as bra size, but mine wouldn't be in my face...
Grimlock13 20th Sep 2011, 12:32 AM edit delete reply
I never thought I would see this kind of discussion here...
Ranter 20th Sep 2011, 1:40 PM edit delete reply
eh, I saw it building.
Futurevgd 17th Sep 2011, 10:49 PM edit delete reply
I think martello may be trying to tell palma something....
Evdog 17th Sep 2011, 11:44 PM edit delete reply
Palma looks like she'd be good at eating cupcakes...

Evdog 17th Sep 2011, 11:50 PM edit delete reply
Ha ha ha! I love KBB's expression in the first frame! Can't wait to see how this story arc spans out.

And Morgenstern, I can help you:
1) Put the controller down
2) slowly walk away from the PS3
3) quickly walk toward the Wii and
4) Play Brawl.
Problem Solved!

Got 3DS today. Since my 2DS is nearly broken (the screens are trying to divorce fromt each other...) i haven't played DS for a loong while. 1st thing i did was to explore all the applications.

1st thing i did afterward was to play Mario 64 DS (for those who own it, having a joystick again is marvelous)

1st level i played was Big Bob-omb's Revenge because it plays like the original fight("revenge" because in the 1st battle you're supposed to have yoshi, who CANNOT grab so Big Bob-omb throws his minions at you instead).

And of course, i threw him off the mountain once.
Bonz0 18th Sep 2011, 1:02 AM edit delete reply
Really? I find using the circle pad to be a bit awkward due to the fact that DS games were not made with it's existence in mind. I did the same exact thing as you last week, though, to get the Big Bob-Omb's quote right.

Do you have Wi-Fi set up for your 3DS?
Therazan 20th Sep 2011, 9:18 AM edit delete reply
Mario 64 was made BECAUSE joystick existed, and then they ported it to DS. Mario 64 was made with the tough screeen in mind, and its even worse than the ctrl pad or the joystick. And i always found that making Mario face the exact direction i wanted him to face was very tricky without a joystick.

Didn't you feel circling around Big Bob-omb was easier with the joystick? Anyways, the whole argument is pointless because, either with or without joystick, i keep falling in the Rainbow Ride!
Bonz0 20th Sep 2011, 2:07 PM edit delete reply
No, no, I know that Super Mario 64 was made with the joystick in mind. The DS version, though, only knows the inputs you can do with the D-pad, right? So for me it feels awkward using the circle pad. The DS doesn't know all of the specific inputs the circle pad is capable of, so it doesn't feel as gradual as it should be.

Next time I'll try out your way though. Maybe once I get used to it I'll see how much better it is.

Have I mentioned how much I love this comic? Cuz I love it. A lot.
antimattergizmo 18th Sep 2011, 2:50 PM edit delete reply
Palma's face in panel 2 is priceless. And I must say I expected a certain mushroom soup to appear by now. For all I know he could be a puddle :P
Evdog 18th Sep 2011, 6:21 PM edit delete reply
...What!? Morgenstern's not going to just kill of the main protagonist for no reason (unless he suddenly decides that he wants to troll his entire fan-base).
Epesi 18th Sep 2011, 9:21 PM edit delete reply
Well, we don't know for sure that being a puddle is fatal, do we?

That is one of those things that sounds...really odd out of context.
Evdog 19th Sep 2011, 1:04 AM edit delete reply
That's true...

I'm gonna quote that sometime...
Guest 18th Sep 2011, 4:07 PM edit delete reply
I'm digging the pupils, but never forget the lesson learned from Evangelion. Face obscuring corrective eyewear is Awesome.
Evdog 18th Sep 2011, 10:23 PM edit delete reply
Although Morgenstern most likely has this covered, let us remember the other lesson learned from Evangelion: make sure you have an ending before you get there.
Anonymous 18th Sep 2011, 8:40 PM edit delete reply
Don't they know the pattern? They have to drop him off the cliff two more times before it sticks!
Bonz0 18th Sep 2011, 10:38 PM edit delete reply
Maybe when the Big Bob-omb is dropped from higher elevations he has time to reposition himself so that he doesn't sustain any damage to his "core". When he's just lifted up and dropped on his back, though, he doesn't have time to do this.
Mr. Vareel 22nd Sep 2011, 12:22 AM edit delete reply
Mr. Vareel
I was thinking that too. Does anyone have any conflicting thoughts? I can't recall hearing an explanation other than this one, but I want to keep an open mind.

I bet that KBB will flail Palma and Martello around like a nun-chuck.
Aikidoka 19th Sep 2011, 8:39 AM edit delete reply
Oh shit son! Martello just told Palma she needed to go on Pianta Craig!
Marcozilla 19th Sep 2011, 3:50 PM edit delete reply
once again, this comic keeps up to its infinitely high standards
Doop 23rd Sep 2011, 4:39 AM edit delete reply
Well that explains why Palma didn't end up flashing everybody when she got stuck upside down. Her top is tucked under her breasts.
Ranter 23rd Sep 2011, 10:07 AM edit delete reply
Um. no. That's just the way the top is made.
infinity6 23rd Sep 2011, 5:54 PM edit delete reply
I just gotta ask. Swing low sweet chariot? I don't get it. Is it like from something?
EKA 23rd Sep 2011, 11:04 PM edit delete reply
It's an old slave song, if memory serves.
Ranter 24th Sep 2011, 3:52 PM edit delete reply
And a hymn.

"Swing low, sweet chariot.
Coming forth to carry me home.
The brightest day that I can say,
(Coming for to carry me home)
When Jesus washed my sins away.
(Coming for to carry me home)"
Evdog 23rd Sep 2011, 8:34 PM edit delete reply
Added "Rapid Fire No" to TV Tropes page, because of Martello.
Bonz0 24th Sep 2011, 5:10 PM edit delete reply
Thanks for contributing. I didn't even know that trope existed!

Now if I only I could get my friends/guildmates on NALS to help me update the Lost Saga page....
I_am_Solid_Snaek 24th Sep 2011, 9:08 AM edit delete reply
Yay, Palma has pupils! And her expression is just priceless! I shoulda seen this coming... but like Altimos says, chucking him over the cliff is not a viable way to tackle the King Bob-omb fight in Super Mario 64... Bonz0's theory sounds very interesting...

@ Morgenstern: Put the controller down and download Minecraft!
