I think the Delfino parts are the funnest to draw, just because I have to go through so much to try and make it actually LOOK like Isle Delfino. Like, it turns into a scavenger hunt of Let's Plays and Google image searches. Ithought about, at one point, bringing my freakin' Wii from the living room into my bedroom, plugging it up and popping in Mario Sunshine just to see how DOORS look. It's so satisfying afterward, though. Inevitably, the story will end up actually AT Isle Delfino at some point, I'll have to do an entire chapter with it as a backdrop and by the end I'll absolutely hate it. Luckily, that's a long ways off, if ever.

Speaking of stupid details, you better watch out. She knows about Timed Hits.

Well, ladies and gentlemen, the poopenstuff just hit the fan.

Apparently, my computer is dead. D-E-D dead. For the second time in my illustrious comic making career (that's a joke, boy) I'm having to comment from someone else's computer, this time my roommate's. Here's my dilemma.

A.) I don't know when my computer will be fixed, or how much it will cost. I do know that unless it's free, I most likely can't afford it.

B.) For a variety of wacky reasons, I will not be able to do comics off my roommate's computer.

So it's time for me to do something awful and feel bad about it for the rest of my life. I'm... I'm gonna put up a Paypal (I just threw up in my mouth a little). I'm going to ask for donations.

I feel like a complete tool, btw.

Not sure if I can get the HTML to work right in this comment box, I might have to put it on the site itself (which would make me feel even more like a complete ass). If you can possibly donate anything--anything at all, from cents to dollars to whatever--I will totally be in your debt and love you forever. I will post a scan of my receipt after I get it fixed/replaced just to prove I'm not making this up.

Furthermore! If you send me five or more dollars, tell me to draw something and I'll totally draw it for you. Swear. It might be in pencil, though. Send me ten or more dollars and I'll totally color it.

In the meantime--and I'm going to feel like even more of a tool for doing this--...if anybody wants to do a guest comic, PM me on Comic Fury. I hope to the heavens I get this resolved soon because I feel like a total greasy jackass begging for money.

I second that. She's got a good mother. And finally we see Roxanne in action! Does she grow vines through Thrive's body to pop out of his head or just hit him hard?

If she is talking about a Bullet Bill, it's true. They don't need to be fast to be powerfull, speed is only a bonus.

Thrive looks hurt there. I hope he dies slowly and painfully for what he has done.

Thrive was already in trouble when McCoy joined the rumble. McCoy and Roxie tag teaming him? He doesn't stand a chance.

And I think that comparison the mother made at the end is cool too.

Miyamoto says, "I remember being tossed like a rag doll half way across that island by a Pianta... Slow for a bullet, more like small for a Hydrogen bomb."

Been reading the comic since it started and I can't help but comment now. You're just pure, concentrated awesome with this story. Both art style and take on the Mario world is completely original. Your writing and dialogue is top notch, and I have nothing but the greatest respect for what you're doing here.

Props, buddy.

You shouldn't feel bad for having need. You give your talent to anyone following your comic, it's only natural that you ask a little something in return once in a while. Many webcomic artist do this for the fame or the cash, you do this because you want too, so if I could, I would gladly give you a few bucks. Don't fret too much about the paypal thing, you'll take it off once it's over.

Lucas 6th Nov 2010, 5:52 AM edit delete reply
hey man hows it going with your computer? and when can we expect a new comic?
ps: dont rush it ;)
Morgenstern 6th Nov 2010, 3:21 PM edit delete reply
We initially thought it was the RAM, but it turns out to be something bigger--probably the slot for the RAM itself. Essentially, with as old as my computer is, it's gonna be more cost efficient to buy a new one instead of trying to fix the old one.

...Which is pretty lame.

The comic is most definitely not dead; in fact, I'm going insane, because every moment I'm NOT working on Mushroom Go is another moment where I'm thinking of more things. THIIINGS. The already slow pace at which I could trickle out my fifty billion ideas has slowed to zero, and now I can't stop coming up with stuff. It's eating away at my brain.

Currently working at a friend's computer. It's not enough to actually do comics with, but at least I can check stuff now. I'll probably be getting back to a few people about guest comics; also, working on a store, so people can give me money without me feeling bad about it. I've already started working on the drawings for people that have donated.

Being without my own computer sucks, btw.
Grimlock13 7th Nov 2010, 11:03 AM edit delete reply
Maybe you could write down the scenario of the next comics. That way all your free time won't go to waste.
Ippi 8th Nov 2010, 11:19 PM edit delete reply
One thing to keep the insanity level down is to take a, le gasp, paper and pencil, and do some rough sketches, keep the ideas flowing. That way, once you uncrap your crapped out computer, you can do BAM-BAM-BAM hammer out the next whatever amount of comics in a row. Or, you can do them all at once, and upload on the right day, and can leisurely sketch out the new comics, without worrying about a deadline, until you catch up.
RedAuthar 9th Nov 2010, 4:16 AM edit delete reply
Or you can blame the government and feel better about yourself. Just worry about your computer. It is a free comic, life happens. The one I draw for my friend script got lost when his computer burned out and he has to write everything again. Focus on fixing the problem and the comic will come in time.

This, my friend, is a comic that I find epic apon epic. Probably 'caue I'm a HUGE videogame nerd.

I've been depressed ever since I learened your computer broke. I don't know if I can wait any longer for the next upload...

So for now, to keep me sane, I guess I'll just...actualy, I don't think I have anything better to do than read Mushroom Go. ._.
Derped 16th Nov 2010, 1:00 PM edit delete reply
What is this, the webcomic depression? It seems like every webcomic I read on a regular basis is sick, broke, or computer broke. This makes me really sad.
