I'm still trying to figure out how to make the place they're in look dark without making the comic hard to physically see, so bear with me a little. I'm hoping the extreme shading on this one will suffice, since I wasn't real happy with how dim the last one was over all.

Also, I left the big NAME OF COMIC off of it this time. I don't know, I think it might be better for... err, immersion? I don't know what the word I'm looking for is. Heck, I might be trying to actually INK the next one, and not just scan the pencil art. While I'd love to have a more crisp, professional look, I'm afraid that my sucky line work is going to hinder the comic if I try to actually ink things--but I don't really know how people feel about the sketchy, heavy lines I've got now, so I dunno. I guess I'll give it a shot and see what people think--it couldn't hurt to try it out for a page or two.

Oh, and for those of you crazy kids that enjoy TV Tropes, Mushroom Go has an article on there now. I don't know how to add links on this comment box, so... uhh...

There it is. Copy and paste it to your URL bar, I guess? Massive special thanks to Cassiopia on Comic Fury for setting that up for me, much appreciation.

Man, McCoy's craving bad. I love that he's not wondering how they died but his minds jumps straight to "maybe they have cigarettes". XD

I like the sketchy, heavy lines though. It's different.

Yeah, the sketchy lines are one of the things that first drew me to this, it has such an original look...
And I don't know if I should feel sorry for McCoy or not...xD

No problem, man. Happy to help.

Funny thing is, I actually know smokers like that.

Well, one thing that distracts me from thinking it's dark is that the characters have shading that suggests light is hitting them. Another thing is you could look back on some mario games like super mario RPG or paper mario etc, and take a look at dark and light scenes (preferrably of the same rooms) then you could have a feel of designing a rough idea of what the room is like normally with light, and then the difference between that and darkness.

From what I've read so far, I like your webcomic. It uses an Idea no one has really used before, and your characters are unique in the way that they are drawn.Keep going buddy, you've got me interested!

Since I can barely draw a stick figure, I have no advice on the light/dark thing, but this worked for me.
And as a smoker myself, I understand McCoy. I once went one full day without a cigar and almost strangled someone to death.

Also, I LOVE the sketchy look of the comic, it's what caught my eye when I found the first strip.

But replace the ( and ) with [ and ]

I am enjoying this comic as well. The Guy in a maid costume is what got me curious and the story kept me here. Well played, Clerks...

Depending on what your process your images in, you could make shapes of transparent 'grey' in some parts and leave other parts 'lit' so there are a few flickering lights left.

The look of the comic was definitely a selling factor as well... which is not to say it wouldn't be better in the way you are describing... Just that I like how it is now..

I do like McCoy. I sympathize with him. It's tough being the only sane person you know. Worse when you're out of smokes.

What about using a bluer color instead of a darker color for shading?

You've got a nice thing going here. I showed up 'cause I was interested, and you kept my interest through a very lovely story and very nice art. I'm hoping you keep your current art style, because it really adds to the feel of the comic. And you're not doing too bad with the shading, it's something that you'll figure out :D

OMG!!! McCoy BROKE!!! lol... honestly, I know how he's feeling... noow onto the comic... I like how the lab was empty when they got in and the bodies found later. Adds a RE style of suspense to the comic. Nicely Played. 200 coins for you.

Still loving Go's expressions.

Cheese and crackers! has to be the best exclamation I've heard accompanying the discovery of dead bodies.

I'd be cursing/crying/vomiting upon discovering corpses.

Izzat a goomba?

I also not that, the further back the comic, the less the comments

Keep up the sketchy lines. It sort of resembles the artwork for Mario Strikers Charged.
