Rule one: Never fight the protagonist in a place held up with Collums. This should doubly apply if your main attack is full body charging or swinging a giant weapon
FWTrump 6th Sep 2012, 12:46 PM edit delete reply
Or if their main attack is full body charging or swinging a giant weapon. Just in general, if either is involved with load bearing walls or pillars, SOMEONE is going to make use of that fact.

Pixar's 22 rules of writing says: "A convenient way to get your character into trouble is great, a convenient way to get your character out of trouble is cheating." I feel a bit cheated. Still awesome though.

Anyone interested in the article can find it here: http://pbjpublishing.com/blog/2012/07/09/pixars-22-rules-to-phenomenal-storytelling-infographic/

I agree. Whenever there's a fight in a room that has obvious supports holding up the ceiling, the first thing the audience is going to predict is that the hero will bring the roof down.

Maybe, but I don't think that he's the same goomba that was just talking. When Fabes was introduced, he was talking to an unseen goomba before he found Fungus and Shrapnel.

Is this your subtle way of trying to remind us of the happenings underground? Or is there more to this little game that I'm missing.

Mr. Vareel

So Uber Entertainment Inc. is making a RTS game called Planetary Λnnihilation. It's being funded through Kickstarter, and I'm trying to round up people to make pledges. I'm not being paid to do this or anything, and no one's hacked into my account (at least I HOPE not), I just really want to see this game take off. I like RTS games. Sue me. If you're even a little interested, here's the Kickstarter URL:

They’ve got a video there that will do a better job of explaining the whole thing than I ever could, so I’m going to spare you the pain of having to read my explanation of it.

I'm pretty sure at least one person is willing to shoot me for this...

Mr. Vareel
Now it is!
Bonz0 13th Sep 2012, 4:11 AM edit delete reply

So, about how much would the t-shirts cost?
Morgenstern 14th Sep 2012, 2:11 AM edit delete reply
Probably somewhere in the $25 department, though it's going to depend on what design(s) I finally settle on and how many potential buyers I'm looking at (since I could get a potential discount in bulk orders).

Right now I'm just debating on what kind of shirts. I was pretty confident on available designs like a year ago, but that was... well, a year ago.
BlueMario 14th Sep 2012, 5:21 PM edit delete reply
I think that, even though I like your art more, you should have one of the shirts have Ob's art on it.
Tobias 15th Sep 2012, 9:29 AM edit delete reply
BlueMario, totally disagree. Ob left, though he may have a more mainstream art style, he really doesn't fit what Mushroom Go is, it's style, history, lore, personality.
Tobias 14th Sep 2012, 11:31 PM edit delete reply
I see two routes you could go, one is to have awesome art of the Chainless on your shirts, the other is to have the shirts they wear. A swoopula shirt would be awesome :)

That's not to say that it was bad. What I have read was good, but I just couldn't get into it like I did with My Immortal Fool.
Cammiluna 20th Sep 2012, 5:52 PM edit delete reply
Well understood! :)

I'm working on an Immortal Fool update right now. I just finished up a Banjo-Kazooie commission that took like, all the free time I had in four days to get done.

I seriously can't wait to have a job so I can handle both comics regularly again! I was only able to pledge a dollar to the Homestuck campaign (beta testing, woo!) because I am so poor!

Cammiluna 20th Sep 2012, 8:57 PM edit delete reply
It's a teen dramedy full of nerds is all I can say right now.

I suggest reading Immortal Fool. The art is really, really bad but the story is far more developed.
Amaare 21st Sep 2012, 12:11 AM edit delete reply
Oh it's equally confusing, at least to start with, but in a good way ;)
I think HiEx will be more accessable after the story has gotten further. At present it's like reading the first few pages of a book, it could be a brilliant story but it's difficult to connect to the characters in such a short time.
I'll keep reading both. :)
Cammiluna 21st Sep 2012, 12:36 AM edit delete reply
I keep forgetting to say its actually better to skip the prologue. My stories habitually start out painfully slow. Reminds me of Scott Pilgrim and Homestuck where I enjoyed it by starting at the second installment and then going back to the first. Pfffffff!

But yes, hiex is insanely early in character development.

Awesome Tye(#howisthisspelt) gif. He's one of my favorite childhood cartoon characters.

For a short while, my imagination, which has always been powerful(enough to make all my dreams ever have continuous action stories). Where was I? Should that have been a sentence? No?
Ok, starting again: my imagination, which has always been power was, for a short time, hosting a city in my head.
No joke.
(The city was my brain btw)
The city was round, and divided int quarters, but with an inner circle about 1/4 the size of the whole was divided from the rest.
This Center was where my brain was ran from, and it was run(moderated/admin'd) by Mario, and all my favorite characters ever worked there.(Luffy, Tye, Sonic for some reason (I never faved him)a, and misc others)
Anyway, while there, Tye was an adult, like in Second(3rd?) gen. Also, while he worked, even though he had his signature goggles, he had to always wear a (gold-striped, blue)tie to work, because otherwise noone remembered his name.

(Useless side note: Also at this long point of time, my main characters EVER, Cameo Cam and (my Mario fan character) the Blue J lived across the street from each other in the N-E division.
They would frequently come out of there houses, look at a set spot shortly down the street, AND TALK TO ME. And, unlike those that worked in the Factory (the center), they had FULL PERSONALITIES.
To some this side note up, I HAD PEOPLE I HAD MADE UP LIVING IN MY HEAD)
(also, no, I was not crazy. my imagination was just powerful enough. Eventually Cam quit coming out, and it was just the Blue J. I can still talk to him when I'm half-asleep)
